In order to become a security guard, it is mandated by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services that a ministry approved 40-hour security guard course must be completed. Completion of the 40-hour course will allow you to write the Provincial Security Guard Exam and apply for your Ontario Security Guard License.
